TerraVac stands at the forefront of innovation as the world’s first company to successfully develop foil-based vacuum insulation technology utilizing perlite. The first product with this groundbreaking approach, certified by Cradle to Cradle, has redefined the landscape of thermal insulation, combining environmental sustainability with high performance and cost efficiency.

Founded on a visionary quest in 2012, TerraVac emerged from the Liebherr Group, fueled by the ambition to revolutionize traditional insulation methods. Where silica-based vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) have long dominated, TerraVac introduces a solution that is not only seven times more cost-effective but also adaptable to a multitude of shapes, eliminating the common thermal bridges that compromise energy efficiency.

One of our most remarkable projects is the Million Year Ice Core Project. We partnered with the Australian Antarctic Division Department of Climate, Energy, the Environment, and Water in Kingston, Australia. We constructed a specialized transport box for ice cores, drilled from the Antarctic, and securely transported them to Kingston for research and academic studies.
