Technology Applications, Inc. (TAI)
The Thermal Strap Experts
Technology Applications, Inc. Technology Applications, Inc. (TAI) is the world’s largest thermal strap / flexible thermal link supplier. We offer 150+ standard (and custom) thermal straps made from OFHC copper and graphite. We publish three thermal strap catalogs annually (copper, graphite fiber, and graphite & graphene sheet thermal strap catalogs), with our Copper Thermal Strap (CuTS®) Catalog being the most popular for engineers with cryogenic applications. CuTS® are offered in 120 standard configurations (dozens of which are designed for popular cryocoolers), with customization options such as gold and nickel plating, aluminum end fittings, and mylar sleeves.
TAI delivers hundreds of CuTS® monthly to national laboratories, universities, aerospace organizations and laboratory equipment manufacturers in Europe, North America, and Asia. We always offer free front-end design services to all customers, and because we design, manufacture and test each of our straps (never outsourcing our product to inexperienced, third-party machine shops), TAI can offer the industry’s lowest prices and best warranty.
Products
TAI are the thermal strap experts. We offer flexible thermal links/straps made from OFHC copper, and high conductivity graphite sheet and graphite fiber (which can also be used as passive thermal switches in cryogenic applications, reducing cool-down times, but ceasing heat transfer at 10 and 40K respectively). Our team of Design Engineers, Technicians, Machinists, and Administrative/Support staff have a combined total of over 100 years of thermal strap design and manufacturing experience, and two facilities in the United States.
TAI’s thermal strap products have been featured in a number of scholarly articles in multiple journals. Beyond our extensive space flight heritage (our straps are used in nearly all commercial crew and cargo vehicles in North America, as well as dozens of satellites across Europe and Asia), we also provide thermal straps and consultation services for some of the largest quantum computing projects across the globe.
