ECD2022 - rescheduled to March 28-29, 2023

Due to different circumstances, we expect a low attendance of the ECD 2022 originally scheduled and announced for Nov. 8th and 9th. In consideration of this fact, the CSE board has decided to delay the European Cryogenics Days of 2022 to March 28-29, 2023 and suggests combining the ECDs of 2022 and 2023. The venue of the ECD 2022/2023 will still be GSI in Germany and will allow us to visit the GSI facilities and witness the creation of the FAIR instrument.

We have decided for this shift in dates to ensure the definition of an interesting program for the European cryogenic community during an in-person conference.  Although virtual or hybrid conferences are more and more common practice, we highly value the face-to-face discussions during in-person meetings. Having sufficient attendees and interested people in the field of cryogenics from the scientific and corporate communities allows for these valued in-person exchanges. Excellent speakers have already been contacted to present the latest insights and technologies in the field of cryogenics during the next European Cryogenics Days.

The ECD 2022/2023 will be combined with the General Meeting of the CSE over 2023. The General Meeting of the CSE of 2022 will be held via an on-line session on Nov 8th 10:00 -11:30 CEST. Further information can be found in the upcoming newsletter and will be posted on the CSE website
