We're pleased to announce that a combined European Cryogenics Days 2025 and the Cryogenics Heat and Mass Transfer (CHMT) Workshop 2025 will be held from 27-30 October, 2025 at the University of Twente. These two back-to-back events will bring together cryogenics experts, researchers, and industry leaders from academia and industry to discuss the latest breakthroughs, challenges, and opportunities in cryogenics.
Set in the green campus of the University of Twente, the venue offers a unique combination of cutting-edge research facilities and a tranquil, inspiring environment. The campus provides modern conference spaces, networking areas, and a vibrant academic atmosphere that fosters collaboration and idea exchange.
The ECD will be comprised of plenary talks focusing on the application of Cryogenics as well as the CSE annual meeting, an industrial exhibition, social events, and an industry visit. New this year, the ECD will be combined with a Cryogenics Heat and Mass Transfer (CHMT) Workshop.
European Cryogenics Day (ECD) – October 28, 2025
Organized by the Cryogenics Society of Europe, ECD is an annual gathering for professionals in the field of cryogenics. This year's event will feature plenary talks from distinguished researchers and industry leaders, providing insights into the latest advancements in cryocooler development, superconducting applications, quantum cryogenics, and space cryogenics.
Cryogenics Heat and Mass Transfer Workshop (CHMT) – October 29-30, 2025
The second edition of the CHMT workshop aims to bring together scientists, engineers, and industry experts to discuss fundamental and applied aspects of cryogenics. We invite abstract submissions on topics including but not limited to:
- Cryocoolers (Stirling, pulse tube, Joule-Thomson and other types)
- Liquid hydrogen technologies and transport
- Low-temperature heat and mass transfer phenomena
- High-efficiency cryogenic systems
- Emerging cryogenic technologies
The call for abstracts for the CHMT is open! Submit your abstract here!
