Celeroton AG
Your key partner Cryogenic compressors and turbo expanders for lowest temperatures
Celeroton core business is the design and manufacturing of compressors and turbines with gas bearings for various applications, among other for direct or indirect gas liquification and zero-boil-off by Turbo Brayton Cryocoolers. The gas bearing compressors and turbo expander systems combine the following unique selling points (USP’s):
- Reliability – maintenance-free for years
- No rotating seals – oil-free by design
- Gas bearings – vibration-free cryocoolers
- Contamination-free – Minimal wetted surfaces and materials
- Temperature resistant – gas recirculation with compressor beyond 20 K
- Restart capability at cryogenic temperatures
- Orientation free – seamless operation in any direction
Expertise and products
Applications in cryogenics require compressors to circulate gases with our turbo compressors while also generating cryogenic temperatures with the reversed Brayton cycle applying Celeroton expansion turbines. Celeroton’s turbo compressor with integrated gas bearing technology offers advantages for such applications in cryogenics. Pollution of the cryogenic gas is prevented, as the gas bearing technology uses the cryogenic gas as a lubricant and thus does not result in contamination by conventional lubricants as with ball bearings. The high efficiency of the turbo compressors and turbo expanders due to our unique direct drive technology results in minimal heat input into the cryogenic application.
